Facilities

The college is fully equipped with all the facilities for better teaching and learning process. The curricular and co-curricular activities are carried out as per practice.

Class Rooms

Nearly all the class rooms are provided with modern teaching learning resources. Such as white boards, OHP and multimedia etc.

Brief of Labs and Workshops

Labs and workshops are indispensable parts and parcels of technical education. A brief description of lab present is as follows:

Computer Lab

In order to impart computer knowledge and skills to the students, a computer lab comprising of 50 computers is available. LAN & WAN facilities exist in this lab. 

Library

The College has a library available for Students & Staff. It has collection of more than two thousand books. These include text books, reference books, general & religious books and encyclopedia etc. Daily newspapers in Urdu are also available to students & staff.

• Academic Council

Academic year is planned in advance in August each year. This task is performed by academic council. All Head of departments, chief proctor, controller of examination and hostel warden are the members of this council. Academic policies are made and executed by this council and all issues if arise during the academic year are solved by this council.

• Proctorial Board

The principal appoints a chief proctor amongst the staff members who selects senior proctors among the students. Proctorial Board of students is also responsible to guide fresh students rightly and ensure uniform among the students. In case if any student is found without proper uniform, she is checked by the proctors and brought to books by the chief proctor. Proctorial Board helps to ensure a healthy and peaceful atmosphere within the premises of the college.

• The College Magazine

The College Magazine ” Isbah” is published annually with the help of students’ editors. They are allowed to write in English and Urdu. Staff advisors guide the students in writing their valuable contributions for “Isbah”.

• Internal Examination System

A system of internal examination under the supervision of Internal Controller of examinations exits in the college to evaluate the educational performance of the students. Monthly tests are regularly conducted by their respective teachers in their subjects in the first week of each month and the results are handed over the class tutor. Who compiles the results and submits them to the principal for further action. Annual examinations are conducted by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Technical Education (KPBTE)

• Literary Society

In order to arouse and polish the literary capabilities among the students, the literary society of the students has been formed. It is supervised by in charge literary society. Naa’t Khawani, Quiz competition, debates, declamation contests are regularly organized by this society.

• Industrial Tour

The students of third year have to go for an Industrial Tour which is a part of their educational program. For this purpose renowned local or country level industrial units are selected. Government provided partial grant for this program and the students have to bear the remaining expenditures. This tour is managed by the college administration. Students have to submit a report to the head of the department regarding this study tour.

• Placement Office

A placement office is maintained under the supervision of an officer. The officer keeps a close contact with different local and national industrial units regarding their requirements of technical personals. She recommends names of passed out students for practical training. This office also keeps in touch with manager of industries regarding knowledge and skill requirements of technicians/supervisors they require.

• Games and Sports

Besides teaching, for physical and mental growth of the students games/sports are also arranged in the college. The College has the facilities/grounds for playing Badminton, Table Tennis etc. Beside there is a hall available for Debates etc.

• Tutorial Groups

Students are divided into groups. Each different group is put under the guidance of a tutor who tries to develop in them abilities of leadership and thirst for knowledge. In addition, Students present their applications and problems to the principal through their respective tutors. In order to enhance the intellectual capabilities of the students, tutorial period is conducted fortnightly in which students are encouraged to display their talents in different fields

• Annual Functions

At the end of every academic year, annual functions are held regularly. In this function, students who have achieved excellence in different events are awarded with prizes and certificates. This has created a healthy competitive atmosphere in the college.

• Hostel

There is a hostel in the college premises with capacity to accommodate 90 students at a time. Meals are provided at reasonable rates with joint arrangement of the residents and hostel management. Students who want accommodations are required to apply on the prescribed form of admission. Hostel is managed by hostel warden under the administrative control of the principal. Boarder students are encouraged to manage the hostel affairs themselves. For this purpose a hostel management committee comprising of students representatives and two staff members have been constituted to create conducive atmosphere inside the hostel.

In addition to students’ hostel bachelors teachers staff hostel is also present which can accommodate 6 staff members.
